I've always fancied the challenge of writing a book, and with self-publishing opportunities available to virtually everyone in 2017 I realised I didn't have an excuse anymore.
I landed in Bangkok back in March, booked myself into HUBBA (excellent co-working space in Thailand) and started grinding out the chapters of my book.
Co-incidently, I met Michael from freshbelief.com at HUBBA, who has extensive experience in Kindle publishing and has been helping me along the way. I love serendipity.
Anyway, the book is called "The Lifestyle Startup" and it's a short book outlining the principles of building a software business for lifestyle entrepreneurs who have no interest in raising vast sums of venture capital or building big teams.
Here's a quick preview of what's inside:
- What is a Lifestyle Startup?
- Finding a Profitable Idea
- Choosing a Business Model
- Testing the Market
- Building a Minimum Viable Product
- Funding your Lifestyle Startup
- Marketing for Non-Marketers
Plus a few case studies and tools to help you build your own business!
The book will be launched on Monday 9th October, on Kindle. I'll be running a FREE promotion for 24 hours before the book is listed at full-price.
If you're interested in grabbing a free copy, sign up to my mailing list, and I'll let you know as soon as it's available.
If the Kindle book performs well, then I'll be publishing a paperback version in the not-so-distant future too.
I'll write a blog post in a few months and explain the process I used for writing and publishing the book and everything I learnt along the way.
